National Conference on Student Leadership 2019
The National Conference on Student Leadership in Orlando, FL this past November was different than any other student leadership experience because it was curated by my team, Trill or Not Trill. As a proud speaker of the culturally relevant brand, I was excited to bring four transformational leadership pop-up workshops to students and professionals that defy the average conference experience. Check out program descriptions and highlights of the trip below:
FOR STUDENTS:
SELFISH: The Purpose Movement
This interactive experience was about taking stock in your most valuable resource, yourself. I worked to answer questions about how to find your path, things to avoid on your journey toward self-discovery and key ways to elevate your personal brand.
BLACKUNICORN
Social media has brought forth a new era of social figures and thought leaders. This workshop was all about honing your unique style of leadership by examining the works of Beyoncé, Childish Gambino and more!
FOR PROFESSIONALS:
Self Care, Self Love, Self Aware
Many professionals are in search of ways to avoid burn-out while also aiming to achieve at a competitive pace. My SSS workshop helped professionals undergo an in-depth self-inventory of how they spend their time, give and receive support, and what things to focus on in the future.
Why I Divorced then, Started Dating Student Affairs
Que the confessional music! During this workshop, I spilled all of the tea on why I left higher education, different pathways to reaching young minds, and the importance of self-preservation in a troubled field.
